JOB TITLE: Business Operations Manager

RESPONSIBLE TO:Company Director

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Admin/Finance, Marketing, Public relationships , contract , business expansion ,

JOB BASED: Location various in Redbridge and Waltham forest



JOB PURPOSE:

This role is varied in its scope. It encompasses developing and training staff to managing budgets and payroll. Managing and developing Administration and Marketing . Ensuring the frontline service for our customers is at a high level of courtesy and meets their needs. In addition, you will work with the director to develop new settings and ensure continued business to growth. Be instrumental in setting up and the development of our charity/ social enterprise and ensure we are legally compliant. You will ensure excellent bids are written and funds are used appropriately, and all monies are tracked through robust accounting systems



You will work to streamline our administration operations, all office procedures and to minimise waste. You will negotiate contracts and support the quality manager in their endeavours to ensure quality childcare. You will also ensure the Information Tech needs of the company are met ensuing equipment is maintained and purchases are of the most cost-effective type.



To deliver customer review strategies and to analyse the data to direct services.



To ensure the fees are collected across all setting in a timely manner and maintain low debt margins whilst managing debt collection system .



To be responsible for the line management of a group of Managers within the organisation staffed and managed childcare provisions. To provide excellent leadership, direction and support to Setting Managers and supervisors to ensure that all childcare provision is operating within the law and at an excellent level. To ensure all settings have a budget that is kept within and that they are financially sustainable and; is meeting the organisations standards. Also lead on increasing the market share of the business increasing the number of places filled and developing new settings. You will work with the childcare manager to create targets for settings and will work with managers and admin team to increase and maintain clients, be responsible for financial sustainability line managing the Admin / Finance Team. Step in as temporary Admin manager/leader if the need arises. To support development of new settings. Be responsible for the company payroll and payments around that.



To develop Marketing strategy and plan mainly using social media and online services to increase market share to work with Marketer to ensure delivery and increase market share ensure at Payroll processes for checking this are in place to





Essential Criteria:

A management and or leadership qualification.
MUST DRIVE AND HAVE A CAR
Proven, current experience of empowering and supporting quality improvement in settings to secure and maintain at least a good or outstanding Ofsted inspection outcome.
Working understanding of business accounts
Experience of customer facing environment
Recent experience of effective management in an early years provisions and/or Out of school breakfast , after school and holiday club setting or other childcare environment
Proven ability to work with key stakeholders including local authorities and schools to coordinate and drive quality improvement.
Experience of effective budget setting, monitoring and action planning.
Ability to lead and motivate a successful team.
Proven, current experience of effective management of staff, setting targets, performance management including conduct and capability issues and dealing with complex issues.
Ability to plan and organise own work/workload.
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Marketing strategies and office Ofsted registration requirements, the Early Years Foundation Stage and relevant quality assurance and improvement models and statutory requirements including health and safety and safeguarding children.
Able to demonstrate an understanding of the application of the Kids In Charge Management Competencies.
Ability to influence and communicate to a high standard in person and in writing, with staff team ,business , designers,parents , staff, schools and external bodies and organisations.
Understanding of and commitment to, inclusion, diversity and equality.
Able to travel to childcare settings within the defined geographical area promptly at short notice and to attend occasional evening and weekend meetings. Occasionally to travel to another area to support in setting up new provision.
Prepare timely and accurate reports to the Proprietor/ Management/ Committee/ senior team as required with information relating to finance, quality of the provision and anything else deemed necessary
