Hours: 7.45am 6.15pm, Monday to Thursday
Location: Lewisham
Bresta Early Years Recruitment are looking for an energetic and passionate Nursery Manager to start October 2020.

The Role

As a Nursery Manager, you will be managing a team and will play a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the Nursery and ensuring that care and education is delivered to the highest standards throughout the nursery. You will have the ability to implement policies and procedures and delegate effectively.

Your key responsibilities will include:
Childcare and Education management
· Responsible for ensuring high standards of quality within the nursery in respect of the environment, resources and experiences offered to children.
· Ensuring that all children receive rich learning opportunities and exceptional care experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development.
· Ensuring that all practices and provisions in the Nursery meet the requirements of the EYFS and   Ofsted.
· Planning and provide effective care, teaching and learning that enables children to progress and prepares them for school.
· Ensuring the children are cared for in a happy and stimulating environment.
· Responsible for facilitating partnerships with colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals to meet the individual needs of the children.
· Responsible for safeguarding and promoting the health, safety and welfare of children
· Following and implementing all of the policies and procedures set out by the nursery.
· Making accurate and effective use of assessments to reflect the needs, interests and stages of development of the individual children.
Operational & General management
· Responsible for all administrative duties associated with the nursery, such as maintaining childrens records, ordering equipment, maintaining inventories and keeping personnel records.
· Adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
· Undertaking any other duties as reasonably requested by line management.
· Facilitating inspections by regulatory bodies and implement any recommendations.
· Agreeing and deliver occupancy targets.
· Ensuring accurate reporting in respect of occupancy, quality and standards.
Nursery Manager Minimum Qualification/Experience Requirements:
· Minimum NVQ Level 3 Childcare Qualification (or equivalent) and above
· Minimum of 3 years' Nursery Management experience
· Knowledge of EYFS, Safeguarding implementation & Child Development
· Experienced in all areas of nursery management i.e. Childcare & Education, staff, finance, health & safety and general and operations management.

· A Nursery Manager who is passionate about ensuring that the children under your care develop and learn in a safe and supportive environment .
· Excellent Leadership skills with the ability to successfully manage teams
· Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and complete them a timely fashion
· Resilient, able to handle challenging situations
· Calm with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
· Attentive, gentle and patient
· Interpersonal, friendly and outgoing
· Proactive with the ability to take initiative and make sound decisions
· Excellent communication skills with a solid command of English
